International conference on migrants’ labour market integration in European cities

Exchange on successful strategies and challenges

The project „European Berlin“ by Minor Projektkontor für Bildung und Forschung has been analysing and promoting the situation of EU citizens on the Berlin labour market for several years. As part of the nationwide European Week, European Berlin organises a digital international conference on the labour market integration of migrants in European cities and thereby provides a platform

  • to facilitate an exchange between labour market actors from different European cities;
  • to deepen the European dimension of current issues of labour migration and labour market participation of migrants, i. e. questions of emigration, immigration and return migration as well as various measures of labour market integration of high and low skilled migrants;
  • to discuss similarities and differences in experiences with labour market integration of migrants at city level.

Many thanks to all speakers of the conference! We would like to thank Senator Katja Kipping, Kirsten Bagusch-Sauermann, Dr. Lars Ludolph and all the panellists: Nesrien Abu Ghazaleh, Andrada Catranici, Dr. Yasemin Haack, Carmen Mendez de Castro, Tina Naga, Wendy Neyrinck, Sofia Olsson Quist, Agnieszka Skwarek, Anna Stahl-Czechowska, Louise Stiernström, Yannick Thuy, Tülay Tuncel, Mihaela-Violeta Vochin, Maaike Wit.
